Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
Members of the Virginia Rugby Club will be participating in "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes". The event asks men to literally walk one mile in women’s shoes, while raising funds for The Sexual Assault Resource Agency. This event will take place Sunday, April 13, 2008.

VRFC SPRING DINNER RAFFLE
The annual Virginia Rugby Club Spring Dinner raffle will be drawn on March 17th at the First Home game vs Warrenton at Edgehill Farm in Charlottesville.
The principle is that you buy a ticket, then register the ticket for the restaurant of your choice by emailing your ticket number together with your choice of restaurant and contact details to VRFC_RAFFLE@yahoo.com.
Tickets are strictly limited to 40 tickets per restaurant. Allocations are on a first-come first-served basis. The winning ticket holder for each restaurant will receive a voucher for a meal for two at the specified venue (see list for specific details).
Please check the list for available restaurants, as restaurants sell out they will be marked on this website.
Winners will be contacted. In addition, the winner's names will be posted on the website.

COMMONWEALTH CUP 2007
The 2007 edition of the annual over-45 Rugby Tournament/Festival that is the Commonwealth Cup will be held on Saturday June 16, 2007.
This year, registration will be open to any player who turns 45 before 12/31/2007. Registration is $10 per player and includes 2 Rugby matches per player and the tournament party at Starr Hill Restaurant and Brewery in Downtown Charlottesville.
This year’s format is a little different than in past years, we have 4 or 5 teams that will be bringing players, all of them will be in need of additional players, so the tournament is open to any rugger 45 or over.
Registration will begin at 8:30 am on Saturday, the teams and draw will be announced at 9:45 and the first match will kick off at 10:30. We will play 25 minute halves and games will kick off at 10:30, 11:45, 1:30 and 2:45. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the field. The tournament party will be at the Starr Hill Music Hall on Saturday Evening, starting at 6:30 pm.
